WELCOME to Lantern Lane Primary and Nursery School web site. Our school is a mixed, co-educational, community school of children aged 3 to 11 years and is situated in the village of East Leake, between Loughborough and Nottingham. The school opened in the current building in September 2003 and offers modern, well equipped accommodation, dedicated hard working staff and a supportive parent and governor community.
The school has been confirmed as good by OFSTED (May 2017), and the report highlights 'a harmonious school where pupils are well cared for and enjoy their learning', where pupils felt that the school 'pushed them to their limits and expected them to work hard'. The inspector also noted that 'the school is a warm and friendly place where pupils are taught to respect adults and each other' and 'have a good understanding of the different cultures and religions that make up modern Britain'.
Pupils at the school are enthusiastic and excited by their learning, and leave the school with higher than average standards.
The contents of the web site can only give a flavour of all we have to offer, and you are very welcome to contact us to arrange a visit at any time.
